Continuo.fm plays a mix the way it was sequenced

Impulse Arc has launched Continuo.fm, a place to send a record to the people who need to hear it. Upload the mixes, get one link, and anyone who opens it hears the whole thing in the browser — gapless, lossless, nothing to install and no account.
The two things musicians reach for today both damage the record on the way. A shared folder makes the listener download files and assemble them; a streaming service transcodes the audio and puts a gap between every track. Neither plays an album the way it was sequenced, which is the only way a mix can be judged.
What lossless means here
WAV and AIFF are converted to FLAC on upload; a FLAC is stored exactly as it was sent. The browser decodes and plays that file rather than an MP3 made from it. An MP3 or AAC upload is kept and played at the quality it arrived in. Nothing is re-encoded downward.
Who gets to hear it
A share link works for whoever holds it, and does not expire. A share can be given a password, and can be listed on a public profile or kept off it. Downloads are off by default, so a listener streams unless downloads are turned on for that share.
Availability
Continuo.fm is live at continuo.fm. The free tier is 5 GB of storage and 10 GB of streaming a month, with no credit card; beyond that, storage is metered by the gigabyte.
