Privacy Policy
Ancora for iOS, by Impulse Arc LLC. Effective September 8, 2026.
The short version
Your recordings never leave your phone. Ancora has no account, no server, no analytics, and no advertising. We do not collect anything about you at all.
Microphone
Ancora asks for the microphone so it can record you singing, which is the whole purpose of the app. Everything it hears is written to a file on your own device and analysed on your own device. Nothing is transmitted anywhere, and there is no way for us to hear any of it.
Your recordings
Takes are stored on the phone, in the app’s own folder, and are visible to you in the Files app. Deleting a take deletes the file; deleting the app deletes all of them. If you choose to share a take – using the iOS share sheet – it goes wherever you send it and nowhere else.
Data we collect
None. Ancora contains no analytics framework, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter and no third-party code that phones home. The app makes no network requests whatsoever, so there is no usage data, no identifier, and no profile of you anywhere.
Data sharing
We have nothing to share, sell, or hand over, because we hold nothing.
If you write to [email protected], we keep your message so we can reply to you. Ask us to delete it at any time.
Children
Ancora is not directed at children and knowingly collects no information from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the previous versions stay in this site’s public history.
